Travel insurance for the Middle East?
I am a British Citizen currently living in Cairo. I am going to travel around Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and possibly Iran next month. Is it possible to get travel insurance with a British company, or are there any Egyptian companies that people can recommend?
I don't have a Credit Card as prefer to use my own money. Also, what the hell is meant by "not so proper countries?" I am sure they have hospitals and more than able to provide receipts.
STA Travel, on most British city high streets, has an anomaly in their insurance: all countries bordering the Mediterranean are lumped together in the lowest-cost category. This works for Egypt, Lebanon and Syria, and equally Israel/Palestine, but not Jordan or Iran.
