I'm flying to Philadelphia in a week?
i'm flying by myself for the first time and i've only flown once after 9/11 and it was before the 3.0z liquid stuff.
so i'm wondering if someone could give a brief explaination of what to expect once i get to the airport and check my bags etc.
also:
how big can your carry-on be? i just bought one that was 21'' it seems kind of big but i think it's allowed...
is it true that they don't allow you to lock your luggae anymore?
what is the rule for packing liquids and stuff that is over 3 oz?
what if you are trying to travel with a pocket knife or something else that the airline considers dangerous? can you take it with you?
NO POCKET KNIFE! No liquids like bottle water, etc.. Many airlines are starting to charge you for carry on baggage, starting with your 1st bag. You can lock your bag, but they might have you unlock it if they suspect something illegal to be in it. Call your airline and simply ask for the do's and don'ts. You can also look it up online.
